Honda Charged for BTCC Success with CTEK

CTEK is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the Honda Racing Team as they contest the 2011 British Touring Car Championship (BTCC); the sponsorship deal will see CTEK Branding on the car for the entire season of thrilling action.

UK CTEK Manager, Peter White said “CTEK is proud to be supporting the Honda Racing Team. Honda is renowned for its innovation, technical expertise and high quality products, brand values that are very similar to CTEK – we are delighted to be aligned with this world renowned brand. I would like to wish the team great success for the forthcoming season and beyond.

Honda Racing Team’s challenge for the 2011 championship will once again be spearheaded by a winning partnership of drivers – twice former titleholder Matt Neal and Gordon ‘Flash’ Shedden. Both were in contention for the Driver’s title heading into the final round of 2010, and eventually finished second and third respectively. Each gained five wins and a total of 22 podiums, securing the Team and Manufacturer trophies for Honda.

After the three races, racers Matt Neal and ‘Flash’ Gordon Shedden have shared a win apiece in the opening two races before a fifth and sixth place in race three. It meant that both drivers were the biggest scorers from the weekend. Neal now leads the race for the drivers’ crown with Shedden in fifth, while the Honda Racing Team leads the teams’ championship.

Honda and Team Dynamics sit on top of the Manufacturers’ and Constructors’ championship as well. “I am over the moon,” said Neal. “Considering that we were told to run with less power by the series officials before we came to this meeting, a win for Flash and a win for me is amazing. It is perfect for the team.”
